It looks as though TigerDirect will be buying CompUSA’a assets consisting of 16 stores, its website and the CompUSA brand name. The stores and web site will continue operating under the CompUSA brand.

"We think customers really like the brand," Gilbert Fiorentino, TigerDirect's chief executive, said in an interview yesterday. "Our goal is to retain the heritage."
