Judge Judy knocks Oprah off top spot

“Judge Judy” was daytime’s top-rated show last season — knocking “Oprah” off its perch for the first time since the 2000-2001 TV season.

For the 2009-10 season, “Judge Judy” averaged 6.5 million viewers — 600,000 more viewers, on average, than “Oprah,” according to Nielsen. The two shows go head to head at 4 p.m. here in New York (“Judy” on Ch. 2, “Oprah” on Ch. 7).
