Google Dropping Support for Aging Browsers
Google announced on Friday support for what the company calls aging browsers, will be dropped beginning August 1st. Google will support the third oldest version of a browser and as a newer one is introduced, the last one on the list is dropped automatically.
“For Web applications to spring even farther ahead of traditional software, our teams need to make use of new capabilities available in modern browsers,” said Panchapakesan. “Older browsers just don’t have the chops to provide you with the same high-quality experience.”
